G.U.D. Holdings invests in employee empowerment
In December 2019, we celebrated the culmination of a 12-month Generic Management learnership programme that provided twenty-five employees from our Manufacturing and Administration Departments with business, managerial and personal skills to support their growth within G.U.D. Holdings.
A Graduation Ceremony was held at our manufacturing site in Prospecton to award the students with a SETA Accredited NQF Level 4 certificate. G.U.D. Executives, SETA facilitators and the graduate’s families attended the event to mark the special occasion.
“As an equal opportunities employer, it is important to us to actively engage in transformation initiatives such as the Generic Management Programme which was introduced in 2018 to develop employees, accelerate internal transformation and promote leadership opportunities in the Company. The Generic Management Programmed offered G.U.D. employees, many of whom were female machine operators and production line supervisors, the opportunity to demonstrate their leadership capabilities in a traditional male-dominated industry. We’ve unearthed incredible homegrown talent in our employees; they are passionate about producing world-class premium filters and this drive will ensure G.U.D. Holdings legacy as a leading automotive manufacturer in years to come.” said Mboneni Magada, Transformation Director, G.U.D. Holdings.
