G.U.D. Holdings (Pty) Ltd Appoints Mr Devan Naidoo as CEO
Durban, 1 August 2023 – G.U.D. Holdings (Pty) Ltd, a leading manufacturer and supplier of automotive and industrial filters, brakes pads, lubricants, chemicals, suspension solutions and other automotive parts, is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr Devan Naidoo as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective from 1st August 2023. The appoint follows the announcement by the Company’s current CEO, Chris Haworth, earlier this year that he would retire on 30 September 2023. Chris Haworth has been in the employ of the Company for almost 25 years.
Devan Naidoo joins G.U.D. Holdings with an impressive background and a wealth of experience gained during his extensive career with the Mondi Group. He began his journey with Mondi in 1997 at their Durban operations and has since held various leadership positions within the company. Most recently, he served as the Group Director responsible for global sales, marketing, and supply chain at Mondi Paper. Devan was instrumental in designing and implementing the commercial strategy for Mondi Paper on a global scale.
Over the course of his 27-year tenure at Mondi, Devan demonstrated remarkable dedication and exceptional leadership skills, earning him promotions within both local and international Mondi companies and divisions. His meticulous attention to detail, strategic acumen, and focus on fostering strong relationships and effective teams have been key factors contributing to his success.
