G.U.D. Holdings New Venture Creation Programme to supports youth development
The G.U.D. Holdings New Venture Creation programme is aimed at training and developing job-seeking youth to identify entrepreneurship opportunities in their communities. The programme was launched two years ago to unemployed youth from the Ethekwini Municipality in Durban.
The learnership programme provides the students with business, managerial and personal skills to create and sustain a business in the SMME sector. Every month the students attend their New Venture Creation lectures at G.U.D. Holdings manufacturing site in Prospecton, Durban, where SETA accredited lecturers facilitate their training. G.U.D. Holdings also provides the New Venture Creation Programme students with a recognizable qualification certified by SETA NQF 2 upon completion.
“We are very proud of our New Venture Creation graduates for their hard work and commitment to the programme and we are confident that they will run successful businesses in their communities in the near future.” said Mboneni Magada, Director of Transformation at G.U.D. Holdings.
